Day 7 - Fireworks and Fantasmic

We spent most of the day doing our own thing, we went to Disney California Adventure for a few hours, then to Westfield Main Place to do some shopping.  The Godfrey's went back into Los Angeles to the Science Museum and to revisit Rodeo Drive.

I have to comment how strange it was to find all the shops open on Good Friday, and no Hot Cross buns to be found.

We all then went to Downtown Disney for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, the meals were great and the kids really enjoyed the themeing of the restaurant...

...and the adults enjoyed the cocktails...

After dinner we went into Disney California Adventure first, we had decided that we would ride Radiator Springs Racers single rider, but when we got to the entrance of the queue they told us the ride was down.

So we hopped over to Disneyland and staked out a spot around the hub to watch the fireworks, we had to wait an hour but it was worth it.  The fireworks were fantastic, and we had a great view of the projections on the castle and of Tinkerbell flying overhead.

Straight after the fireworks finished we headed through Frontier land so we could watch the second viewing of Fantasmic which was on at 10.30.  We managed to get space in the sitting area fairly easily, and we had to wait half an hour for this show to start.  Hannah landed up curling up on the concrete with her head in my lap and going to sleep, and I woke her when the show started.

Fairly much the last hour of the park being open was spent by riding Splash Mountain again and again with no queue, in fact they started asking if we wanted to just stay in the log without getting out, but by then we were done.  We left the park after midnight, it was the smallest amount of crowds we had seen all day.
