But on the way out of Disneyland we saw some characters, there was Pluto, Goofy and Mickey. We decided to line up to see Mickey as he had a Photopass photographer with him, here is a quick snap I took while he was signing the girls autograph books.
Our first stop at DCA was California Screamin', Hannah had been begging to go on this ride all day, it was the first time either of the girls would go on a 'real' rollercoaster... http://youtu.be/Angz5pPw0cU
As we got in the queue (10 minute wait), Melissa started getting a bit upset, she was feeling apprehensive, but we knew (hoping) that she would really love it. I thought we had made a mistake as after we took of and went down the first hill I could hear her bawling next to me, as we entered the loop I was really worried about her, but I shouldn't have worried, as after that all I could hear after that was "can we do it again", she absolutely loved it! Hannah was sitting with Nick on the previous train, and she really loved it too.
After a ride on the carousel, we started to walk towards the park exit, but we got waylaid when we found Goofy.
We also got waylaid when we walked past cars land...
It was now approx 4.30, and we wanted to have an early dinner before the crowds descended on the restaurants at Downtown Disney. We ate at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, and we forgot to take photos of our food, but it was delicious, we certainly made a good choice to go early as within half an hour of sitting down in a fairly empty dining room, it was totally full.
The above photos are 'photos of photos', a photographer came around and took our pictures, and left them for us to look at - instead of buying them, we took some sneaky photos of them instead.
We had a great first full day of our holiday, day 2 is looking like it might be a shopping day.
