Day 8 - Hopping all over the place

Saturday 19 April.  After our late finish on Friday night, no one was up early.  We eventually got organised and headed out about 11am, I was on a mission to buy a wallet.

We had visited Harvey's the day before, they make Seat Belt Bags, where the bags are made out of seatbelt webbing.  Before our trip I had decided that I would quite like to buy a Harvey's bag, but thought the Disney ones were a bit over the top - but in a wallet would be perfect.  After finally deciding that I wanted a Disney Princess/villains wallet after seeing them the day before, and The Vault at Downtown Disney had sold out, we had to drive back over to Harvey's so I could buy it.

One side has Sleeping Beauty, and the other has Malificent...

Once the wallet mission was completed we went home and dropped the car off and walked back to Disney California Adventure, we had worked out the schedule so that we could see some shows.  First up was Aladdin, this was amazing, a really professional (I presume) Broadway quality show.  It was complete with flying carpets above the audience and elephants walking down the aisles.

Then we went to the Animation Academy, this is were you are taught by a Disney animator how to draw a particular Disney character, our character was Daisy Duck, this was heaps of fun, although Melissa did get a bit upset and she made a mistake and there were no erasers (as it was a sketch class).  We kept our sketches so I will add these to a later post as they are all packed up at the moment.

The other rides we did this day included radiator springs racers using the single rider line, we couldn't believe it only took 11 minutes to get through the queue as the standy line was around 90 minutes.  Even though we were single riders, Hannah and Melissa were still in the same car, just not beside each other, Nick and I both got put in cars with strangers.  The ride was good the second time but none of us thought it anywhere near as good as the first time we rode it.

We also rode Tower of Terror again - and loved it even more, and we rode Grizzly River Rapids too, that was fun, out of our family Hannah certainly wore more water than the rest of us.

We left the parks around 4pm and met the Godfrey's coming in as we were leaving.  It took us a good hour and a half to get home as we stopped to do some shopping in Downtown Disney.  Nick bought a really nice Fossil watch...

And the girls finally got to go to Build a Bear to make a teddy each.  They had been asking to do this since day one, but we held them off and used this treat as an incentive to be good - not sure what we will do for the next two weeks!

I will get the girls to introduce their new friends soon.
